About Us
The Meghalaya Urban Development Authority was constituted under the Meghalaya Town and Country Planning Act, 1973.
Initially, as per section 8 of the Act, the Shillong Development Authority was constituted in March 1990 with its jurisdiction over Shillong Master Plan Area.
Subsequently, in 1991 its jurisdiction was extended to cover the whole State and was renamed as Meghalaya Urban Development Authority.
